Cover Letter for Civil Construction Jobs
A cover letter acts as a bridge of conversation built in an official background. Letters have always been the best medium to express your thought processes and views. Phone calls never do what a letter can.
In the corporate world cover letters are used to convey various thoughts and proposals. A cover letter is drafted for multiple purposes like; job acceptance, salary negotiation, drafting resignation, thanking the employer, or for writing a reference letter for suggestion and many more.
A reference letter generally is written to a senior or alumni, in which the writer asks for the assistance of the reader in finding a suitable job. The writer can also mention his/her preferences regarding the job that he/she wants.
This page will guide you in drafting a reference cover letter. You can take help of the samples provided in this page.

Mr. Robert J. Ashworth,
National Builders,
364 Layman Avenue,
Wilmington, NC 28401.
Dear Ashworth,
It has been a few months since I wrote to you. The last few months in International school of Architecture and the various activities going on here had kept me occupied. Today I write this letter to tell you that I have completed my course in International School of Architecture and I am starting to hunt for a job that would suit my skills and qualifications. I have enclosed my resume along with this letter to let you know about my activities and achievements in the last year.
I had completed my internship under a builder who had eight years of experience in this field. He had advised me to start my career with a small or medium sized organization that would welcome entry level candidates. My interest lies in the area of design content, either in estimation or in coordination area. I think a growing company would help me in my initial growth.
You have a big circle of friends who have years of experience in this field, so I request you to help me in finding a well suited job, where my education and skills would be considered.
Ashworth, I would be very happy to receive suggestions from you, and I will look forward for a positive response regarding any opportunity.
Best Regards,
Bill K. Aguilar.

Mr. Chad B. Sevigny,
National Builders,
4873 Hillcrest Avenue,
Cambridge, MA 02142,
Dear Sevigny,
Though we often write to each other, today I am writing this letter to express my joy for completing three wonderful years with Regional Builders. The quality time that I spent here is a life time remembrance for me. The experience that I embraced from this organization will be a lifetime asset for me.
The world is growing, moving and developing at a great speed, so I too do not want to lag behind. I wish to move and grow. I have thought that I will join a new firm where I will do something more advanced than I am doing presently. I need your help for this. You are in this field since last twelve years; hence I know that you are aware about various openings in various companies. I would be pleased if you could please look into this matter. I am enclosing my resume along with this letter. It is my recently updated resume. Please forward my resume to any firm that you think will be suitable to my profile.
My preference would be a company that has an established reputation in this field, and has been in this field since, at least, 10-15 years. And, as you know I am a bachelor, I would not have any issues with the location of the company. The only concern that I have is that the company should be one that would consider my skills and appreciate it.
I would be grateful to you if you could give me some feedback, or advice regarding this matter. Meanwhile, please let me know about any offers or opportunity that would come your way.
I hope you would take out time from your busy schedule and offer me a helping hand.
Best Regards,
Nelson E. Smith.
