And when we experienced something good, we celebrate it by writing a congratulation letter. This is one such letter both the writer and reader love to write and read it. Every often we write this letter to our friends, relatives or colleagues on their success. Congratulations letters are personal letters, but it is also written for professional reasons.
Congratulations letters are typically sent to express an approval and commendation on success of an event or something good experienced by someone close to you. This could be an engagement, marriage anniversary, birthday, job promotion, achievement, and for receiving a scholarship for higher studies. By writing congratulations letter, you express your warm feelings and happiness to the readers.
The letter can be formal or informal depending upon your relationship with the reader.
When you are writing to congratulate someone for winning a scholarship, you should consider the time factor. It should not be written when the person has already received several hundred letters and had become bored with reading such letters.
